Although this job appears to be a Retail Sales/Customer Service position and the store appears to be a Retail store, neither are such in a fully conscious reality. Our mission is to assist as many people as possible on their path of spiritual growth and healing (of all sorts).
Compensation is commission with an hourly base guarantee. Commission is earned on a team basis for the day on sales that exceed the daily minimum. If you are a natural sales person who loves helping people, and you willing to invest the time to learn about the products, you will make a difference in peoples lives and you can build a part or full time career with a good income.

The Hiring Process and Instructions for Applying
Here is a summary of the steps in our hiring process. The process is extensive in order to produce a good match. Many people desire to work at Soothe Your Soul because they love the store and enjoy being in the store. At the same time, the practical real world requirements may be overwhelming considering your lifestyle and/or other commitments you may have (such as school, family, etc.) Soothe Your Soul is an extraordinary store and requires extraordinary effort and commitment, yet delivers extraordinary rewards. It's intense work, for this to be a good match you have to thrive on intensity.1. Applicants should read the requirements (Section 1) very carefully and make sure that you meet every requirement before going to the next step. There are no exceptions. We appreciate your desire to work at Soothe Your Soul, but if you do not meet the requirements, please do not apply and we wish you the best in finding your perfect job!
2. Applicants are required to cut and paste the questions in Section 2 into an email and submit the answers to the questions. Please DO NOT paste into some other type of document (i.e. word, excel,etc.) and attach that to a return email - please just cut and past the questions directly into an email and type the answers under each question. 3. If hired, you will be required to study products on your own time and submit informal summaries in writing on a weekly basis. The product study is assigned each week, which is usually comprised of 2-3 products a week depending on the complexity of the products.
As part of our hiring process, you will be asked to do one product summary in order to assess your ability to digest product data, summarize it, and select the most relevant points in your summary.
Section 1. Requirements
Commitment to learning and ability to retain lots of information about a large number of products (if hired, you would be required to sumbit product studies on your own time in order to learn about products).
Impeccable standards of work and attention to detail.
You must have a personality that is not afraid to passionately introduce products to customers that they would not have asked about, (in other words, able to deeply engage customers) and sell products for the highest good. You must a natural sales person.
You must be enthusiastic, friendly, warm, and have genuinely caring personality.
You must be able to work two weekend shifts, and one of them will be Saturday night. Weekend shifts are defined as Friday night (3pm-10pm), Saturday day (8am-4pm not currently available), Saturday night (3pm-11pm), Sunday day (8am-4pm not currently available) and Sunday Evening (1pm-9pm) on a consistent basis.
You must have a somewhat flexible schedule to cover other shifts in case coverage is needed.
You must have abundance consciousness and be motivated to earn commissions in order to meet sales goals and earn a good income for yourself.
You must be okay with earning a lesser amount while you are in training and educating yourself on selling points of great products. Compensation is a base hourly rate, plus commission which is earned if sales exceed set minimums.
You must have at least 2 years of real sales experience (not just order taking experience or simple retail associate/cashiering).
You must be in great health, and have plenty of energy, you will be on your feet for many hours each day. (if not serving customers, you will be stocking, cleaning, etc.)
You must live locally in the South Bay. Even though you may think it is okay to drive from a distance, our experience is that if just does not work. Please do not apply unless you live in the South Bay.
You must have car, as occasionally you might be required to pick up merchandise from our warehouse, a few blocks from the store .
You must have a computer and an internet connection to receive emails and do your product study and summaries.

It's good for you to acknowledge them.
